We can create rugs up to 5 meters wide and as long as needed. For rugs wider than 5 meters, please contact us for further assistance.

Our rug pile heights start at 6mm. We can create pile that is 14mm and higher. Our 3D relief rugs can have up to 4 different pile heights.

Our rugs come in the following three grades. Each grade is available in flat and 3d relief. 1. SIGNATURE: Hand Tufted 100% New Zealand Wool 6.5 lbs/ sq. yard 6 weeks production time minimum 2. PREMIUM: Hand Knotted 100% New Zealand Wool 60 – 200 knots / sq. inch 3 months production time minimum 3. LUX: Hand Knotted 100% New Zealand Wool + Merino Wool/Pure Silk blended yarn 60 – 200 knots / sq. inch 3 months production time minimum

In an effort to become more ecologically responsible, we have resolved not to hold items in stock. Our made-to-order service allows us to reduce our carbon footprint by not needing to warehouse our products in storage facilities that operate at 24/7. As such we pass on the overhead savings to our customers with very competitive pricing. Get a quote here and see for yourself. If you find a lower price somewhere else please send us the quote and we’ll do our best to beat it.

Our rugs are made-to-order therefore we can customize sizes, colors, materials and shapes; with the exception of our limited edition artist series. We'll work with you to develop the perfect rug design for your space.

Yes, our Minimum Quantity Order is 5m2 or roughly 53 sq. feet.

All rug deliveries are calculated by volumetric weight and are calculated during the quoting process. We’ll also quote import duties and taxes. This way there are no surprises when the rug arrives in your country. We offer both air and ocean freight delivery options from our mills in Asia. Air freight usually takes 14 days door to door, and ocean freight about 6-8 weeks door to door. You can submit a quote request here.

We offer a five year warranty against manufacturers defect. We recommend photographing the rug packaging before opening it. Once opened, please photograph the rug in detail. If there are any manufacturer defects please send us a photo and explanation to info@urbanrug.co We’ll review the photos to make sure they meet our return policy guidelines. When all is cleared, Urban Rug Co. will issue a refund for the item to your original form of payment once the rug has been received.

If you live in Norway you can visit any of our dealers in Oslo to view the rugs in person.

All rug orders come with one complimentary sample to review before the final piece is produced. Due to the limited number of samples we carry for each design, it is best to consider purchasing a sample for your studio or showroom. The cost of the sample will be deducted from your first purchase. You can view our rugs in our Oslo showrooms. Or contact us for more details.

Our core service is a made-to-order bespoke rug design and production service. Bespoke designs are included in the price of the rug order and are priced individually. Fill out our Quote Request form to receive pricing.

We offer a exceptionally large library of colors. Our Signature Series has a selection of 1200 colors, our Premium and Lux series offers 2600 rich colors to choose from.

We are capable of producing any shape of rug. Circles, ellipses, puddles, combo rounded and straight edges, rectangles, squares, diamonds, essentially anything you can imagine we can produce. Please note, for our Premium and Lux series, the rugs will be priced based on the bounding box area of the shape, not the area of the shape itself.

We offer our rugs in two base yarns. New Zealand Wool is recommended for public spaces and contract projects. We offer a luxurious Merino Wool & Pure Silk blended yarn for residential and low footfall commercial spaces. However, we do have access to many types of yarns from around the world. For yarns not listed above please contact us and we’ll be happy to provide the yarn you are looking for.
