Ekaterina Elizarova is a leading Russian product designer. Among Ekaterina’s many national and international awards are the prestigious Red Dot and A’Design awards. Elle Decor awarded her the Best Designer of the Year and the Best Product of the Year titles in Russia. Designs by Ekaterina Elizarova are shown at major trade fairs, such as Salone del Mobile, Maison & Objet, 100% Design London, and Venice Design. Limited edition items by Ekaterina Elizarova are presented in galleries across the world and sold by the Tajan auction in Paris.
Ekaterina is a graduate of the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Arts (Russia), and the University of Huddersfield (UK). Her unique design sensitivity merges influences from her native Russia with her time spent studying in the United Kingdom.
Projects by Elizarova Design Studio put an enormous emphasis on high quality craftsmanship as is evident through the designer’s collaborations with luxury brands Smania, Matlight Milano, Bosa Ceramics and Capital Collection of Italy; Preciosa of the Czech Republic; De Gournay of the United Kingdom and finally Swedish ASKO. It is her attention to quality, luxurious materials and traditional manufacturing techniques that drew her and Urban Fabric Rugs together.
